A level Politics students from Years 12 and 13 were delighted to welcome local MP, Suzanne Webb to OSH for a lively question and answer session on 12th January.
Suzanne spoke briefly about her background in business and route into Conservative politics before giving the students an opportunity to ask several probing questions about local, national and international issues.
Topics under discussion included women in politics, the role of an MP in Parliament and their constituency, knife crime, the forthcoming general election, and developments in Stourbridge High Street. Other areas addressed included Rwanda, the NHS and the premiership of Liz Truss.
Suzanne was forthright in her opinions and showed a willingness to engage with the students and explain her point of view. Students were then able to go back to the classroom and discuss their opinions based upon what they had heard.
We're very grateful to Suzanne for taking the time to share her insight with our students.
