The Headmaster
Welcome to Old Swinford Hospital, or OSH for short. Rated ‘Outstanding for boarding’ by Ofsted and bringing together boarders and day students within its community, OSH prides itself on offering a unique educational experience where learning doesn’t end at the afternoon school bell. We are a community of many parts where we encourage each student to be themselves, and also to make their own contribution to it. Diversity of life is embraced, and learning to live – not simply work – alongside one another is a life skill that cannot be underestimated.

Another Triple Outstanding for OSH
We are thrilled to announce our boarding provision has been judged ‘outstanding’ in every category for the third consecutive inspection.
The inspectors were greatly impressed by our pupils, and by our hard-working and deeply committed colleagues. Above all else, they were struck by the strong sense of a positive and upbeat community where these young people are known and understood.
