The Careers Education at Old Swinford Hospital aims to develop students who are effective decision makers which should result in increased participation in education, training and employment, and motivate them to succeed.

Therefore, students at OSH should be informed about how advice and guidance services can help them and how to access the services and information they need.  Students receive Careers Information during lesson time, tutorials and, for students in Years 7-11, specifically in their Beliefs & Issues lessons.

When students leave OSH we encourage them to consider all possible routes for their future. 

There should never solely be a Plan A. 

The purpose of this section of the website is for students and parents to find up-to-date information on careers guidance available at OSH, support services and even some of the challenges they may face.  All of which they can access within school.
