A group of Year 9s today attended ‘Girls in STEM’ at the University of Birmingham.
The day is designed to inspire girls to think about the vast breadth of STEM applications which they may not previously have known about, and consider science, technology, engineering and maths as future career possibilities.
Students were able to take part in two interactive workshops: one to design and test a glider, and the other in a cosmetics laboratory. Plus, they attended real university lectures, learnt about careers and saw the beautiful campus. They had a brilliant day!
